  1. I noticed today that my tax disc holder, one of those thick alloy "security"
ones, was missing off the bike. The bolt that held it in place had (been)
snapped off and there is some damage to the paintwork in the area around it
suggesting some scrote forcibly removed it. Doing as the DVLA suggested I
reported it to the police stating that it may possibly have just fallen off
but was more likely stolen. I also told them that I have no idea when it
happened as the last time I remember seeing it was on the 6th September when
I was unloading the bike from a van after Cadwell. I was given a crime
number and advised to get a replacement as soon as I can.

About six thirty this evening the police crime scene investigation unit
turned up at my house! I couldn't even get a copper to come round when my XT
was stolen after my garden was broken into about 18 months ago so this was
really the last thing I was expecting, especially given the circumstances
explained to them on the phone. Needless to say they couldn't find anything
useful although I was complemented on the lovely display of begonias in my
    garden (kudos to Mrs Feindish).

    Once in a while
    you get shown the light
    in the strangest of places
if you look at it right
