Tyre Pressures

    Cant find my manuals and would like to know the correct tyre pressures for
    my Bike...BMW R1150R


    Tyres are Metzler 120/70 ZR17 & 170/60 ZR 17

  4. My 1150R ran best at the top end of the pressure range; 36 front 42
    rear. You can get a very grippy set-up running six psi lower at each
    end but it reduces tyre life.

    Great bike; wish I still had it.

    Hey Will,

    Factory settings are as follows:

    Solo Front 31.3 Rear 35.5
    Two up Front 35.5 Rear 38.4
    Two up with Luggage Front 35.5 Rear 41.2

    The Guzzi LeMans V11 isn't listed (no 1100cc Guzzi's are), the Suzuki
    GSX1100G isn't listed and the Kawasaki GPX250 isn't listed (ok, I could
    forgive the 2 bigger bikes they aren't that common, but bloody GPX250's
    are everywhere :)

    There was an R100 GS but it was listed as 100cc...

    Checking tyre pressures

    .. Check/correct tyre pressures.

    Tyre pressures:

    one-up ............................... front 2.2 bar (31.90 psi)

    ............................................ rear 2.5 bar (36.26 psi)

    two-up ............................... front 2.5 bar (36.26 psi)

    ............................................ rear 2.9 bar (42.06 psi)

    two-up + luggage............... front 2.5 bar (36.26 psi)

    ............................................ rear 2.9 bar (42.06 psi)

    So, for those who aren't BMW aficionados, is that a R100GS ? A similar
    age BMW that's been converted (it doesn't seem to be as tall as the GS'
    I've seen but it does have the dirt bike style hand guards and front guard
