Tyre reinflation aerosols

Has anyone here ever got a tyre reinflation aerosol to work on their flat
    bike tyres?

I used one today on the rear tyre of my GSXR750 and it reinflated alright,
but it didn't want to find the puncture and cure there. The instructions did
say not to use them on bikes but it was still my best chance to get back to
civilisation so I used it anyway. I was only going to ride home slowly if it
worked and I figured it was just legal disclaimers anyhow.

The instructions also said to drive on the tyre immediately after inflation
and slowly for 15-20km. I only rode for 7km to the nearest servo where I saw
the air and inflation liquid was quickly escaping from the puncture and I
decided to leave my bike there and pillion back to Brisbane.

So I suppose the reinflation aerosol worked, it just didn't seal as I'd
hoped it would. It did get me 7km down the road so it's worth carrying one
under the seat, especially if you're venturing 150km away from the nearest
    bike shop.

I probably buy a ramp, some tie downs and borrow a mate's ute and go pick up
my bike tomorrow or the day after. It's all worth it though (I think) but
for next time I'll either buy a trailer or have a spare wheel at home.
Perhaps I should have ridden more slowly and for longer before giving up on
    the magic in the can.

Ive never found the foam to work , and I used to sell the tyre pando
line which was effective on cars . We also used to sell a liquid meant
for bikes which sealed punctures and tended to balance the wheel as
    well.
How ever is the expense worth it ? , these days I carry a plug kit. (
    very emergency situation)

    Yep!

I used a can of the stuff after a fairly large shard of wombat
bone punctured the rear tyre on my Across about 6 or 8 months ago...

Removed the piece of bone, squirted the whole can in there, smoked
the tyre good and proper, much to the joy of a group of riders at the
Laver's Hill servo (just to help it seal you understand hehehe) then did
another 150 odd km that day, and 300+ the next day...

The tyre was still holding pressure several days later, but was replaced anyway...

Unfortunately I can't remember the brand of foam that I used.

I bought a kit today for $26 and 4 pressurised canisters for another $32. I
probably won't ever get to use em now :)
