Subject is a little misleading because it's not the road handling
    aspect I am interested in.
    It's the pattern.

I'ld like to know if there's any consensus here regarding
particular patterns from an aesthetic point of view.

I shall of course be market testing my project on you lot,
complete with special rates for interested parties.

An early (and relevant) response will gain you special consideration.

I think I might be pushing my luck here, fire away.

Pirelli Phantom. A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

I like the look of the Bridgestone 014's, closely followed by he Conti Sport
    Attack.

Newly scrubbed-in road ones, or new offroad ones; no silly colours.
Beyond that, tyre aesthetics don't bother me.

That seems to be the consensus this evening.

    Thanks for those others.

You probably didn't have red shocks.

I noticed, while licking the window of my local Ducati emporium, that the new
Sport 1000 café racer was wearing Pirelli Phantom replicas in modern sizes.
The front was a reasonable facsimile of an original rear Phantom while the rear
was rather more like a worn out original but you can't make a 180/55-17 look
exactly like a 110/90-18. The GT1000 beside it had Michelins; I didn't look too
closely but they resembled 1980s Hi-Sports.

Such a pity that I've only just had new tyres....
