Gotta replace the hoops on the K12 - Nige you recommended Pilot Power 2
IIRC, is that what you ended up fitting again? Are these ultra grippy or
a dual compund sport/touring type? Looking for reasonable life, the
Metzelers it's wearing now have lasted around 4k miles (only 1k in my
hands though) so not sure how they were treated before that.

Ta for suggestions, mobile tyre fitter booked just gotta decide which
tyres he should bring with him..

    Pilot Power is the sporty tyre, the 2CT is the most recent version;
Pilot Road 2 is the sport/touring tyre. Both are dual-compound.

Not quite. The original Pilot Power is still available, & is single
compound. The PP2CT is dual compound & a bit stickier than the non-2CT.

Very glad I replaced mine before the moist Manx week. I've never tried
Road 2 CTs, but they would probably be the more sensible option if
    higher mileage is the criterion.

Absolutely. I've got the old non-2CT Pilot Roads on Pinky & can't fault
them. Well actually I can fault them - they didn't do as well as Road
Attacks in a group test. But other than that, I can't fault them.

Road2's are superb, very similar levels of grip so far & they will last much
    longer.

The Sport Attacks work brilliantly once they're warm, but getting them warm
is a fucking dodgy affair. I managed to snap a hero blob on the Zed when I
had them on, but by **** it'd wheelspin for fun in a straight line when they
were cool. Absolutely *no* feeling of security from the front when they were
cold, but when hot, they rocked a really fat one.

I would highly not recommend them.

You're two years out of date, I was ranting about them when I owned the
    Daytona.

Ranting about how good they were, they may call it raving where you
    live.
