In the grand tradition of recommending what you use, Conti Motions. I used
to use Road Attacks, and very good indeed they were too, then Stuart at
National in Barnsley said 'Try these'

Damn near as grippy in the dry, better in the wet, 8500 miles from the rear,
about 10500 from the front. Still had life left on the rear but the front
    was about shafted.

I've got Angel ST on my ST4s, was seduced by the sexy marketing. Appear
to work well in the wet and dry, so far.

You take a rear the front will go. You take a front the rear will go.
    You'll never win.

So, if I actually used the brakes on the XJR, I would exopect 3500 on the
re4ar ? Sorry, can't see the "double". Would need some proof. I agree wear
would improve, but no way can I see double.

My curiosity is pricked, I'd like to see some proof of this statement.
Otherwise it may well be the Correolis Effect all over again.
Pity, i was going to make you an offer :)

Am happy with front wear, can do small punctures with tyre seal, so happy
    about that as well.

Depends on your starting pointm, though, dunnit? I mean, if you use
full gas out of every corner and full brakes into each, and I mean
really full, then you're going to reduce the tyre life to track-day
mileages. Comparing that with gentle use on a long motorway trip
you'll looking at much _more_ then double the life.

My point entirely, it is down to someones current useage, to state I could
double the life by altering my riding style is bollocks. As I get circa 7k
from the rear now, it was insinuating I could achieve 14k. Utter bollocks.

So, until someone gives me a site to go look at a test that proves you can
double the tyre life, I'll stand by the usage of the work "bollocks" :)
