Need some round black things to go on the metal black thing.

Want sticky ones, not too worried about tyre life (within reason - more
than a thousand Km on the road ok ?)

Michelin Pilot ???? which one ??
    Pirelli Dragons ?

What's the general consensus on sports bike tyres (yeah yeah it's only
pretending to be a sports bike before the comments start)

    04 Cagiva X Raptor - the usual sports sizes - 120/70/17 and 180/70/17

pilot power now - comes in a few grades of sticky - stickier and very
    fucking sticky

    more sticky less kays

depends on your style of riding and what you use the bike for

pirelli dragons , not so sure about, the corsa are sticker and again less
    kays

bridgestone are good, but they have changed their designations and model
numbers so often now , im not even sure what they stickiest tyre is - the
    014 (i think)

yet to found someone to say nice things about the dunlops

the new avon venoms seem to be getting a good rap tho ...ditto metzlers
    ...........

OK, I want very fucking sticky.

Best suggestion is Pilot Powers by the sound - no one is going to wade
    in with their preferences ?

    JL
(I guess I've been kill filed - oh well, I'll just have to go for a ride
    then :)

Try the Avon Viper Supersport - Rapid bikes used 'em on their K5 1000 and
    raved about them.

surprising life too - 3 track days along with just over 3,000 road k's

I had to make this very decision yesterday after my 'didn't have much life
left' OEM Dunlop 220 rear had its life drastically shortened on Sunday night
when a nice sharp washer punctured the tyre - and I spent half of monday
morning putting 60psi in the tyre at three different servos so I could get
    top the MC tyre shop!
The tyre shop had all the stickies in stock - and I ended up buying a pair
of the Pilot Powers. (over the bridgestones, dunlops, pirelli$, metzler$ and
probably some more that I was shown but can't rememeber).
Can't give you a review yet as I've not worn off all the slippery stuff yet.
Of course new tyres are always nice to ride though, everything is easy to
    steer :)
Price was good too - but my bike only has a 160 rear, a little bit
    cheaper....

Wow ! But I've already got a better offer - my local servo offers 80%
    nitrogen for free(1) !!

    JL
(plain old Aussie air has done me fine for the last 30 years, but thanks
    anyway)
    (1) the other 20% is mostly oxygen and carbon dioxide and about 1% "other"
