I used them on the Diversion, and found them OK. Then again, the Divvy
    600 isn't a good tool for comparison.

Not bad, I must admit the Avons are getting close to being my next
    choice.

Out of interest, what sizes do you use? I can't seem to find a match in
    that range.

They weren't cheap when I bought mine (same price as 014's in fact) but they
grip like a bitch when they're hot. Summer's on the way too, so the cold
issue isn't such a prob. Mine are staying on for now and by the time it
comes to change'em, the hottest of the weather is likely to be behind us.

The only expereince I've had with the Diablo's is on a pal's Superduke and
they were excellent, but again, that was in the summer and most tyres are
good when the're hot. The Conti's are, but the difference between cold and
hot is just too much. On the same road, the bike will either wheelie if I
push it (wheelie's aren't my thing, but they're definitely the Zed's thing)
or lay a darkie with zero provocation depending on temps and like wheelspin
    even less than unexpected wheelies.

I'd contemplated the Diablo's, but I've heard some good things about the
Metzler M3 things. Too many fucking choices.

My front is fucked. Plenty of wear left but the shape has gone.
    Feels awful.

they were the OEM tyres on both my Bandit 1200 and my TRX850 - crap
    for both.

I've got the "B" rated ones - they have a higher load range than the

What are you saying there mate? ;-)
    I will indeed.

Thanks, I've also lurked around in the FJOC forums too, and they are all
going over to the Avons too. Looks like the choice is made then.

Grippy enough to get off the edge of the rear and close to it on a
Bandit 12, similarly fitted to an RF900.
    Do it.

Ordered them today. Booked in to have them fitted in a couple of weeks.

I know that old "FJ wasn't designed for radials" argument, but that
doesn't mean it doesn't benefit from them.

I tried BT45s on my FJ once and never liked them, maybe they've
improved over the last couple of years. I don't like the present
Macadams much either but they seem a bit more stable than the BT45s.

Macadams were OK on a light bike, like my old Diversion, although I did
have a couple of tail-end moments with those.

Both my K100 and the FJ have been shod with BT45s. Perhaps it's because
I haven't used anything else that I know no different, but I've been
    fairly happy with them.

I liked the 207RRs on my 9R and the 218s are ok but not confidence
inspiring on the 10R. I don't know what the **** to put on next
because they've got to last a trip to the Nurburgring and 10 days on
the IoM as soon as I'm home from France so really sticky tyres might
    be a bad idea.

It's got RRs front and rear before it even gets a sniff of a new rear.
They're the ones I fitted. It'll be a 180 rear tyre so expect a bit of
twitchy stuff from the front when you're on the gas.

I've got Avons on my Zephyr.

All I can say is that they are black, round, and the front one needs pumping
    up every few weeks.
They also both have chiken strips about 2" wide.
Other than that, they aren't at all bad, much better than the old Exedras
    that used to be fitted.

    Here's a top-tip.

Check your tyres from time to time. I knew the rear on my K100 was 'a
bit bald' since it had done about 6.5k[1]... inspecting it today there
were two patches about the size of my thumb where it was wearing into
    the canvas.. whoops.

Fortunately I had a spare set of wheels with half decent tyres on them
which I could swap. I'm almost too embarassed to take these knackered
ones to the shop to put the new tyres on these wheels.

[1] Normally about 4.5k does a rear in but I'd fitted a pirelli 'speed
demon' which was slightly wider and seemed to be wearing well enough.

Give Kawasaki their due, they did use a wider rim on the E model. A
wider wheel that can't be fitted to the C model cos the spindle is a
different diameter, and the hub is a different width too IIRC.
