I might push the bike a bit in the dry but in the wet, IMO I ride like
a wuss. However, the 207's perhaps say otherwise ... I've had several
instances of spinning the back out on junctions and overtaking as well
as a couple of sideways slipping movements on roundabouts and corners.
I suspect the fuel injection is in part to blame (or rather my use of
it), my old CBR was carbs and very smooth, the new one seems to be
very 'snatchy'. Anyone commenting "learn to ride the bike properly"
might well be 100% correct but I think I'd like to do it on 'better'
tyres. Meanwhile thanks all for the sugestions so far.

I've never used plain 207's, only the RR version and, as others have
said, they're a bit more twitchy than the stock item but they do give
more grip in the wet and dry. This was on a ZX9R which is a bit lardy
but is still quite a powerful bike.

I'm currently using Michelin Pilot Sport Cup on a ZX10R and they're
good enough to be stupid in the wet and good enough to be able to beat
most bikes over the mountain on the IoM. Obviously a CBR6 isn't going
to knock out as much power as the 10R and equally as obviously they
handle differently but I'd have no hesitation in recommending them to
    someone else.

I don't think there's much difference in any of the modern tyres
designed for road/track use and how well they last depends on throttle
control. I've had the Michelins on for over 2k miles and they've still
got a lot of life in them, I tend to think that I don't need to rag
the bike away from a standstill when I can use the handling to reel
other bikes in through fast twisty bits. Strange as it may seem a
smaller bike being thrashed everywhere might be harder on tyres.

You're most welcome, Marina. I'm glad that they're appreciated.

That'll be a whoosh on your part then.

I do prefer the RRs but I was doing a 280 mile round trip daily commute
when I had these fitted, the RRs wouldn't have lasted till the end of
    the week.
