I think he was lucky in the fact that a) He didn't get his jaw ripped off or
get swung around by the bull [1] and b) he's still alive.

[1] I saw the news clip somewhere, can't find it now.

 

One of my Spanish colleagues told me how many bulls they go through in one year
in Spain. IIRC the number was about 20000.
