I have a VHS cassette somewhere with footage of my father being given
a treat by the Red Army in Siberia, where he got to gun down reindeer
with a PKT whilst he and all the officers downed shot after shot of
vodka, and then they barbequed the dead reindeer for lunch.

 

Actually, that's a fair point, but not a sport I've ever indulged in so it
slipped under the radar.

I was a little puzzled to see a trailer on Sky last night for a 'Live'
U2 gig next week. Should someone tell them?

Have you ever shot at a microlight that was annoying you on a weekend
afternoon? Someone who posts here fairly regularly went to that
extreme. Admittedly it was with a homemade device but the microlight
pilot didn't know that.

Hopefully not the physicist who calculated the energy of a Magnum
slug in a back-page article in the IoP's magazine, and made the schoolboy
blunder of interpreting "340 gr" as 340 _grammes_ ! A moment's thought
would have shown that a bullet doesn't weigh as much as a can of Coke...
(Or does nobody learn that a ml of water is about a gramme these days?)
