"Launched in the biggest blaze of publicity money can buy" means
"aimed at the 12 year old market."
Hollywood makes some decent movies, but it doesn't promote them.

Don't watch Salt. I haven't either but I've been issued dire warnings.

Good. It's on our list of mindless movies.

Mindless, car chases, explosions, weak plot,
What more could a man want?
I thought it was fine for what it was.
    But maybe I'm shallow. :)

Is that the "Enhanced" Liam Neeson film where he takes out half a country
    and ......?

If so, I liked it too. I've just watched "Let the right one in" a Swedish
film about a 12 year old vampire bint, which is a very odd film, but
    strangely watchable.

No sex either in the film, thank ****.

I've seen it and it's typical "Blockbuster" stuff. Lots of ludicrous stunts,
explosions, a plot line so thin it may as well not bothered, and it's fun.

Some films need to be just watched, although this isn't her best.

It fits the bill to perfection. If you (like me) can watch the odd "no
    brainer" film, Salt is good.

Not sure what you mean. His daughter gets kidnapped. I think the best
aspect was his no nonsense approach to getting people out of his way. No
flashy fights and stuff, just shoot the bastard in the back, if possible.
Curious. I shall add it to the list.

His first (maybe 2nd) film after his shite face lift.
    Yeah, that's the one.
One particularly odd bit in it, or should I say one particular bit that
*should've* been in it, but isn't. You'll know what I mean when you've seen
    it.[1]

[1] The film, not the "bit".

Complete with feather interior. I *really* need to get shut of it, but I've
never sat on anything more comfortable [1] so it stays.

[1] I've never sat on Nigella so it's entirely possible there *is* something
    out there more comfy.
