    "Primer". Really good, and really SF, not action-adventure
    with some SF paraphernalia.

    The first ~50 minutes are rather slow, though.

    Yep, that's the one. Well thought-out classical science fiction.
    It is. The plot is rather convoluted, but you don't know it until
    the last 2/3rds of the movie. :) I'll probably watch it again with
    a friend to catch all the small details of the plot.
