Amateurs the lot of you. OK, 2012 did not accurately depict what happens when you fly through an ash cloud (or perhaps it did!) but there are a lot of worse films out there. Would you like me to send you T's video collection? Bram Stoker's The Mummy 2 was the latest arrival. £1 from the Co-Op remainders bin.
I enjoyed the collapsing cites an'stuff, but plot, story, were all non-existent or just crap. Still, the audience it was made for wouldn't have noticed that much.
You mean you didn't believe the bit where the skyscrapers kept falling down on the plane no matter how much the pilot made it climb? HOW CAN YOU NOT BELIEVE THAT?!
You have led a sheltered life. fucking crap. It was that. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) 116 Giulietta 3.0l Sprint 1.7 GTV TS GT 3.2 V6 Triumph Sprint ST 1050: It's blue, see. www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk
Tog and Ann watched it at my gaff on the 50" plasma/5.1 surround. Forget plot. Forget physics. In terms of some monster CGI and a home system workout, it rocks. OTOH I watched In Bruge on Saturday. It irritates the ****** out of me that it features laddie getting nailed below the heart with a 9mm flat nose and he runs on. Eventually taking another 3 and still being conscious. And at 25+ meters there was a large exit wound shown. I want to take the Director into the desert and demonstrate reality.
Me neither. I think if I started to get uppity over inaccuracies like that in a comedy such as In Bruges, I think I might just decide to turn the fucking gun on myself!
Oh, and just to be consistent in my views, IDGAF about the changing motorbike tyres in MI3 (?), or the use of a Ducati with an inline-four sound-track either!
When he picks up the gun from the Belgian dealer the bloke offers him a few "dum dums" and he takes the entire box from him. They appeared to be flat nose rather than hollow point. A jacketed bullet may pass through the body if it doesn't hit a hard internal structure. Of course military ammo is designed to do just that.
When you have had a lot to do with firearms it rankles. Just like 2T m/c sounds for 4T's, people jumping off 20 ft buildings without breaking an ankle and machine guns that don't hit anything. And before you ask, my diet has plenty of fibre.
