Seeing as you couldn't even be arsed to post the title, I don't think
I'll even bother clicking the link.

I haven't read the book and I thought it was very good. Well-paced and
inventive, and excellent effects. The nipper's certainly beginning to bloom
which can only be a plus.
You don't mention the hideous slow down in the middle though. It is a top
film but it does get a bit slow.

    Coronado, or something.

It was the worst film I've ever seen.

Everything seemed pretty well-explained. There were a few minor things which
were covered in more depth in the book (according to my companion) but
nothing that caused me any problems. Maybe you're just getting thicker.
    Maybe HP is too much for you? PFCT;
Yeah as they enter the pub there's a walking-through-mud pacing to it that's
a stark and unwelcome contrast. Like pulling away, gathering speed and then
    ploughing into a swamp.

So nothing to do with aiming that at Ace who has pissed you off in an
earlier thread and already said there was no point in clicking on titleless
    urls then?

Andrewr At Work left a note on my windscreen which said:
    [snipped]

I managed to watch The Passion of The Christ yesterday and it wasn't
    particuarly riviting.

I had hoped, acknowledging this was probably a long shot, something
along the lines of 'Paul Daniels does Jersulem on a cocktail of acid,
    speed and alcohol'.

One of the real, true greats (and source of the term `paparazzo'). If

it pains me to admit it, but "Zoolander" has been one of the most
enjoyable movies I've seen in recent years. I mean, it's a load of
shit, but it's very enjoyable if you're in the right frame of mind.

Nothing wrong with that. Funny films for the sake of it. I'm secretly
looking forward to Dodgeball, I usually enjoy those Stiller films.

"If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball" "Clang!"

no, no, no, yes - that's what I'm saying. I like pretty much all the
Stiller movies I've seen (though I prefer the likes of "Mystery Men"
to "Meet the Parents"). That said, I've yet to see an Adam Sandler
movie that made me laugh at all.
    not heard of it.

"A group of misfits enter a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament in order to
save their cherished local gym from the onslaught of a corporate
    health fitness chain."

    sounds promising.

I'm very much looking forward to "Glamorama", though that's a
    different kind of comedy completely.

<google> Hmmm. I assume you've read the book - is it as good as this
    review (http://www.goodreports.net/glaell.htm) suggests?

it's better than that review suggests. It's not for the squeamish,
though - much more graffically violent than "American Psycho" (no,
really) including much worse combinations of sexual and violent
imagery. And I wouldn't recommend reading it to anyone even slightly
homophobic or insecure in their own sexuality[1].

[1] the bisexual three-in-a-bed piece is particularly harrowing to
    read as a heterosexual male.

This may be why I keep parsing it as "Glockamora".
