Whenever I'm working at Coryton refinery I stop on Canvey Island in a
pub allegedly owned (1) by certain ex band members of Dr Feelgood.

(1) Maybe part owned, I can't remember.

 

Wow, memory zap. Saw them a pub in South Ken in '74. Great show.

 

The Barge??? Nearest pub called The Barge in these parts is at Vange,
which is miles from Canvey.

I dunno how to work google maps with coordinates but "just outside
Benfleet" is where you find Vange and it is still fucking miles away.

 

I go there to make money... and get out as soon as I possibly can.
