I seem to be having problems seeding something I downloaded via this new ukrm-nova thingy, and I'm keen to do my bit for the good of the whole p2p wise. Unfortunately though, I'm a bit a of a spaz when it comes to bittorrent, so I wonder if someone could please tell me if the following error means I'm doing something wrong (I'm using bittorrent 5.0.5):- [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:05] DEBUG : starting torrent [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:05] DEBUG : started torrent [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:07] DEBUG : torrent finishing [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:07] DEBUG : torrent finished [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:08] INFO : incorrect id have:'M5-0-5--6929ae97f959' got:'M5-0-5--2cf38d4b1a77' ('1.2.3.4', 4669) ('BitTorrent', '5.0.5') [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:08] ERROR : Error regarding "1979 British GP.avi": rejected by tracker - Sorry, minimum announce interval = 60 sec. [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:02:08] ERROR : rejected by tracker - Sorry, minimum announce interval = 60 sec. I have substituted "1.2.3.4" for my real, publicly-visible IP address and port 4669 TCP is wide open. I'm also seeding a few things on uknova and those torrents all seem to be fine and error free. What's that "minimum announce interval" malarkey all about then?
Bad form and all that, but every couple of minutes it's also logging the following errors:- [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:09:56] WARNING : Tracker announce still not complete 60 seconds after starting it [5.0.5 2007-02-15 23:09:56] WARNING : Problem connecting to tracker (http://statto.dyndns.org/tracker/announce.php): Timeout while contacting server. I can reach the server by HTTP no problem, so that isn't it. I expect I'm being a divvy, but how do I fix it?
I've tweaked a setting on the server - has it made any difference? Also, I'll be looking at setting up some forums on the server at some indeterminate point in the future.
Thanks. It doesn't appear to have made any difference unfortunately (I also tried stopping and restarting the bittorrent app here and that didn't work either). As (I assume...) nobody else is having any problems, I'll probably try fetching another torrent program and using that instead. Chances are it's something stupid I'm doing at this end, I reckon, because this torrent business is not something I know very much about. That'd be cool.
I missed Hotel Babylon yesterday[1] and cannot see it in the planner for repeat So ho do I do this Nova thingy and get a copy of yesterdays episode? [1] sky plus already busy with 2 other recordings and I was out
Yeah, uTorrent is obviously the one to use. I installed it and it's working nicely with no random screwing-around from me.
Me either - or any sort of email in fact, but I've not tried to login yet - Are we getting any notification once the accounts are ok'd ?
