ukrm-seti

  1. Order please ladies and gentlemen, order.

Welcome to this, the latest, extraordinary occasional general meeting of
ukrm-seti. Sit down, shut up and pay attention.

There are three items on the agenda and the sooner we can get them
sorted the sooner we can back to the bar.

    1 Bruvver Cab.
Have you sorted the web site yet? If you don't then I suppose I will
have to do it but I am not sure how long I will be staying with force9
    so it is an issue.

    2 Non active members.
You know who you are. Now while I am personally grateful that your lack
of submitting results has got me 50 places higher up the table than I
should be it would be nice to see a few results from you lot dated
sometime after the last century. C'mon bruvvers and sisters, snot
    exactly hard is it?

    3 Newbies and wannabes.
One of the things that the membership of ukrm-seti finds so appealing is
the total pointlessness of it all. If you are the kind of person who
thinks pissing into the wind is a good idea then please join us.

    Questions?

Nope. Right, there being no other business I do declare this meeting
closed and we can all head for the bar. I have got a bit of clearing up
to do so I will be along in a couple of minutes. Someone shout me up a
    pint of bitter please.

<shifts nervously> Erm, I think I'm in that category. Really must
    sort that out..

I have an AOB item Mr Chairman. When are you going to correct the
mispeeling of "intellegent" on the team description, huh?

Well, I went to have a look, but instead of letting me download, it kept
timing out. It must be all the new interest you've generated.

May I respectfully remind Bruvver Abso that the meeting has in fact been
declared closed for some time now. It seems you weren't paying
attention when I told you to sit down, shut up and pay attention.

However, in the spirit of global harmony and good will I will suggest to
the committee that they take your comments into consideration and if
necessary arrange for the Team Description sub committee to discuss
putting the matter before the Team Description Spelling Mistakes
(requests for amendments/corrections) sub sub committee with a view to
them considering discussing the matter you raised at some time in the
    future.

    Works for me.

Interesting that you should raise that point Bruvver John. ukrm-seti
meetings usually generate 5 or 6 new members every time we have one.

    It pays to advertise.

These little items from your past will occasionally pop up to haunt you.
You are a fairly solid 8th in the table.

When did you last check then?

I make it that Alan Gower is actually 8th, Molly is down in 42nd.

You may also have noted that I have shot up from about 75th to 37th in
two months ;-). And at the rate my G5 DP is doing these, I'll be into
the top 30 very soon :p

Are you talking about the ukrm stats page or the screen saver download?

It might be easily load related. They run on a very tight budget and
don't spend anymore than they have to on the front side stuff. Keep
    trying.

Right, I'm in. I've already muscled my way up to 97th place in the ukrm
list! It could take me some time to get to 96th...

Apparently, after just 4 minutes I'd completed more work than 34% of
    seti users!

It takes kin ages. especially if the one you are chasing is only taking
a few minutes long than you to complete a unit. I reckon it is going to
be somewhere between to 10 weeks before I overtake the net one.

That is the easy bit. If you spend some time looking at the project
stats as a whole you will soon work it out.

It doesn't go to an email address. The seti@home connects straight to

I don't think I can help you then. Personal details and such are not
available to me, even as group founder. About all I can do is force a
reload of the team statistics page and drop dead members from the list.
Anything else, certainly anything to do with your processing and contact
    details, is your problem.

Your advertising has paid off again, add another one to the list. All I
need to do is convince the boss that the screen saver is work related and
    I'm on Easy Street......

Excellent work bruvver Dave and welcome to the pointlessness of it all.

Run it in the background all the time and have the power saver kick in
and turn your monitor off before the screen saver. Job dun.
