Why do they always seem to let the work experience kid go into the
    design office?

Funny how some really good bikes have had such a thorough lashing with the
    the ugly stick.

Love the wee strom to death in those fire trails from Bungendore and
Braidwood up and down the escarpment to the coast - but pretty she ain't.

CX 500 would still have to be the front runner in the Personality before
    Beauty stakes.

Isn't that what people say about the 'Busa as well? I think there are
bikes that look a lot better, but I wouldn't be going so far as to say
    it was hideous.

reminds me of the ER-6 I saw the other day.

Similar sort of squashed look with added angles and gratutious
    pipework.

except I'm sure the one I saw had extra silly bits on it.

Funny to see it next to a Griso. The Griso was very obviously a motor
and drivetrain with a seat hanging off it, the ER-5 was very
    obviously a messy styling exercise.

THe obvious answer is to buy another one now. Swap between them or
mothball one to use when the other wears out.

This single bike ownership thing is not natural!

Yeah they've done the the same thing with the FZ6 Yam:

Someone made the mistake of leaving a piccie of a Brutale at Tokyo
    airport...

  11. My Portuguese is a bit non-existent, but I think the're saying that's a
    Vyrus *minimoto*.

    This is the full-size versh,

    http://www.vyrus.it/images/984/Image07.jpg

or the one powered by a two-valve Ducati engine, at any rate. This is
    the four-valver,

Pardon the pun, but, in the parlance of the younger generation, that
thing looks "sick"... for completeness' sake, it's, essentially a Bimota
Tesi with more motor, more bad-trip styling and a
briefcase-of-kilo-bags-of-cocaine pricetag (kinda surprised Zebee, given
her appreciation of oddball engineering, seems to have been unaware of it).

I'm getting old. I tend to go for (and be aware of) motorcycles that
    look like motorcycles....

I have no doubt it's cutting edge and modern and all that, but like I
    say I'm getting old.

I'll need slippers and a bloody labrador soon.

Got the slippers, a sidecar, 2 trips a week to the Chiropractor, and a head
    full of grey hair.

"Funky", "neat looks"? Surely the scribe was choking when s/he wrote
    those words.

  20. At least that money buys you a unique headlight... except for the new
DB7, all the current Bimotas, including the Tesi 3D, use the same
headlight... straight off the Suzuki GSX-R1000K3.
