Seconded. That was the first GP dinner if memory serves in 1998.

 

I've got a Japanese anime around here somewhere on DVD. Called
"Serial Experiments: Lain". Having watched that, I can't help
but wonder if Boky isn't still maintaining that site!

I set up mediawiki (the one that wikipedia et al use) a while
back. I don't remember the details, but it certainly wasn't
rocket science. MySQL, PHP and an hour-ish of general tinkering
from memory.

We should prolly heavy Aunty Kath (aka Kath Knight) into
setting one up. She's the resident expert. I'll happily ply
her with beer at our local if that's what it takes (for the
good of the group of course, I'd happily suffer the beer for
the good of the group!).


GB, 'course I generally manage to turn that into twelve hours or
so by compiling and recompiling everything until it's 'just so'!

gosh, if they're still in the original packaging, bwahahahaha, you could
make a fortune! (assuming aus.moto gear has the same value as unopened star
wars, star trek, mary poppins gear...) Oh dear, perhaps poppins was a
mistake... hang onto your un-used stuff, smack, and it will be a collectors'
item one day if it isn't already!

(Poo, I keep hanging onto my Donny Osmond fan club stuff, but I don't think
it's going to make a comeback.... *sigh*)

I think you're right it was the first GP dinner, earlier ausmoto dinners
weren't tied to the GP, they were sporadic (we haven't had a dinner for
a while yet type things).
