Me. For undertaking an unmarked Police Volvo on the M5[1].

Reported for "riding like a twat" aka driving without due care and
    attention.

Upside, the copper said he'd recommend a driver re-education course
rather than court, points, and ban. I think that might count as
    passing the attitude test.

The subsequent filtering with extreme prejudice probably didn't help
    much.

Dunno, link doesn't work. It was between junctions 6 and 4 of the M5.

If it's in the highway code as a must not, then it's specifically
forbidden by the RTA. If it's in there as a should not, a copper can use
    it as grounds for careless.

They really, *really* don't like undertaking. DAMHIK, etc.

Lets get this right. you are on a 10R and you were caught by a Volvo. Have
    you ever considered a Benly?

As Ginge says undertaking safely does not constitute Reckless or without Due
Care. So unless you were observed doing what we all do, lane splitting at
100per in 50-70 per traffic it is worth arguing about.
You probably were doing that though, weren't you? in which case it only
    remains to say:

"can I have your 10R while you are inside"

When I first saw the lights, I contemplated giving it beans, but I
figured he'd have already seen the plate by then and it would make
    anything worse.
The latter, bang to rights, and video'd doing it. Although without
    such differential in speed.
heheh, a short ban and some points will be the worst case, a day of
    driver re-education, the best case.

I expect the vid would get your plate. Next thing you will be telling us is
the bike wears it's real number....
We are going to see you on Police Camera Action, aren't we! What a ****,
    bad luck.

You're saying that now, but when they place the electrodes on your temples,
    your opinion may well change.

Get a solicitor and be a really awkward ****. It might make them back
off. Then again if you're unlikely to get a ban it might not be worth
    aggravating them.

If they decide to prosecute then getting a solicitor won't "make them back
off" it'll just leave you with the solictors bill plus £455 CPS costs, on
top of the fine and points.

OTOH you could take the re-education training...

My experience differs here. Although to be honest this was before they
    decided to prosecute.
    If offered.

Na, not worth the hassle. The copper said he was going to make a
point of recommending a driver education course in his report, and I
guess he didn't have to offer that.

If I get that, then it's a bonus because it's only 150 quid and there
is no conviction at all. No fine, points, ban, nothing.
