What a strange day... 1. Entered Heron quays roundabout this a.m., with a van entering from the junction to my right[picture me entering at 6 o'clock, him at 4:30 ish]. He's in lane 2, I'm in lane 1. [I need to exit at 12 o'clock].No problems, you might think, until he decides to exit [at 9 o'clock] without indicating. Cue hefty tug on brakes and Linda sat on my shoulders. 2. Overtaking "bendy bus" up Cannon St tonight. Quite gently, ~20mph. Get level with bus driver's door to be confronted with u-turning Metrocab. Repeat circus act from episode #1. 3. The pedestrian X-ing along the Highway is being moved. Eastwards. By around 8m. No, I can't work out why, either. Traffic down to one lane each direction. 4. MV 750F4 tonight. Reg # MU51C MV Flash git. It did sound lovely, mind you. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/KH500A8/TS250C |_\_____/_| ..62669../..14719.../..3157./.19406 (>|_|_|<) TPPFATUICG#7 DIAABTCOD#9 YTC#4 PM#5 |__|_|__| BOTAFOT #70 BOTAFOF #09 two#11 WG* \ |^| / IbW#0 & KotIbW# BotTOS#6 GP#4 \|^|/ ANORAK#17 '^'
Previously on ukrm, Salad Dodger said... You should have missed him with an hour and a half to spare, what's your problem?
What a strange day... Now *that* musta looked strange! You'll get shoulder ache with her on top too much. It's an extra 8m of braking for you on the Wing. Buy your "spare" speakers did he? **** me! I thought I was slow, but no way does it take me 6 hours to get round the roundabouts, Even with the wife sat on my shoulders!
There seems to be some confusion over priorities on roundabouts. Some people think you give way to vehicles on your right ON the roundabout, others think you give way to vehicles on your right APPROACHING the roundabout. Perhaps the van driver was the latter type and you the former.
