upcoming stealth advertising of ukrm.....anyone help?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Doesnotcompute, Oct 6, 2003.

  1. I've been tasked with making a low [1] budget minifilm for one of our
products. Actually, we'll be making several, but one in particular might
    prove interesting.

The product is a ruggedised version of what we do, and some time ago
there was a minifilm of it being dropped from a window, and naturally it
    was still working afterwards.

Well we want to remake a silent version (as opposed to a load of yanks
talking over it) with some cheesey chase music, kind of Italian Job
stylee [2]. Well, I'm certain there's room for a scene with a big bad
biker all in black, black bike etc [3]. If this is the case, I thought
it might be rather fun to have u.k.r.m across the back of my jacket in
    patch club stylee.

Why I think this would be amusing is the fact that this video if like
the last one will take our customers by storm and be used worldwide from
us (manufacturer) through to our distributors to their resellers to the
end users. The amusing point would be when a fellow ukrm'er is sat is
some mind numbing presentation and all of a sudden gets a barrel of
laughs seeing a u.k.r.m logo feature on a cheesy clip in amongst a load
    of corporate cobblers..

Anyway, anybody able to create me some form of easily applyable /
removable ukrm patch/sticker for my jacket?

    [1] read "zero"
[2] as in the one it Italy, not the one in the USA
[3] guess I'm the closest they'll get then

  7. And what pray does it print on the specialist wirelesses?
I suppose a specialist wireless has top quality valves or summat.

just in case you're not being deliberately dense, it's a printer, which
operates without wires, via bluetooth or IR or wireless lan, that is
used in specialist applications where wirefree printing is required.

  12. Heh, no, they probably don't *want* a biker in it, but it's what they're
going to get if I get my way :)

Powered by a directed energy beam. Saw it in Star Trek[1] I did.

[1] Mind you, the Romulans were sending a feedback pulse along the beam
which was going to cause the Enterprise to eventually explode, so maybe it's
not such a good idea after all...

Battery pack(s)? On a thermal printer they last quite well.

  20. Spells it out for the hard of thinking.
    dolphin - porpoise - purpose.

    It'll cost about £2
or go to a car parts place and get white number plate letters for
about the same amount. surely you can steal enough stationery from
    your employer to cover that.
