Update

Well I'm still on the postie, but since last posting about my dad, he's
bought a Yamaha TDM 850.
Got it from a dealer, for $9k with 25000 k on the clock.

Not being a fan of exhaust fumes, I'm saving as fast as I can for a postie
replacement, probably a spada.

eee gods, I keep coming back to these old posts, and find your questions...

I've just registered it now, so til Jan 05.
Condition is generally good, light rust on exhaust, otherwise good, forks in
need of new oil and boots, doing that soon. Brakes good - new shoes on back,
new cable front. New O-ring chain (fark their expensive!) new sprockets.
Getting on for 27 000 kms.
