UR Request: Halesowen to North Herts

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Wicked Uncle Nigel, Feb 18, 2009.

  1. Anyone in Brum prepared to collect a medium sized package (3 Meccano
sets) from Halesowen and get it somewhere near North Herts?

email as I go through there several times a week, next time will be
Saturday. I am not coming South for some time but can hold it for you.

I'm not far from there and could collect it
I work with someone who lives in Newport Pagnell so *might* be able to chuck
it in his direction but I'd have to ask him first.

Set 10 was the holy grail even when I was a (little) kid. My uncle lived
in Singapore and he saw a set 10 going very cheap, but didn't buy
because he "didn't think I was interested". Somewhere, stashed away, I
have a ton of Meccano magazines along with the Meccano itself.

Where did you bury the body?

Pfft. In a loft somewhere is my 'O' gauge (3-rail, electric) stuff.
In a Capstan box that must have once held several thousand coffin
    nails, iirc.

I have some Hornby Dublo in my dad's loft, although it is far from
mint. To be fair, it was second-hand when it was bought, so a lot of
it was pre-disastered even before I got hold of it. Even so, the
Mallard is worth a couple of hundred, I think.

    No probs.
Someone else I work with lives in Bedford so that would be another possible
    destination if that's any better.
