Anything specific to look for, other than the usual used bike stuff?
Will be looking at a 99 T-plate with 7.5k on it on behalf of my
    brother at the weekend.

heh. This one is extremely tidy from the pictures I've seen and it's
also black and naked which my bro prefers.

Check steering head bearings for notchiness, check rear brake works ok.
That was all that needed work on my similar "excellent condition, 2
    previous owners, completely original" B6.

His test is the Friday after next... maybe he's tempting fate a bit
but I don't think he'll have any trouble passing.

Not horrendously suitable for someone just passed their test.

I know. I have sent him details of it. I actually think this is a
tyre kicking exercise as he has another car he needs to sell first.

Well, we're off to Toronto tomorrow, feel free to pop round and steal
the fucking thing, probably about the only way I'll get rid of it!

    Swap for the car :)
