The Tomahawk is a Viper V-10 based motorcycle, a 500 horsepower engine
with four wheels beneath it. The engine breathes through twin throttle
bodies mounted right up front. It can reach 60 miles an hour in about
2.5 seconds, and has a theoretical top speed of nearly 400 mph. Each
pair of wheels is separated by a few inches and each wheel has an
independent suspension. Bernhard said four wheels were necessary to
handle the power from the engine.

Well that depends on the definition used. Some use the driver's
position, i.e. driver ON rather than IN the vehicle. The Tomahawk seen
in profile is clearly a motorcycle in layout; the rider is astride a
vehicle steered by handlebars and leaning, with the motor beneath. I
believe trikes are usually classified as motorcycles. Then there is the
goofy little BMW Isetta; the continental version had two close-set rear
wheels and was a car, but the English version had only one and was sold
and licensed as a motorcycle while both used a motorcycle engine. If
you go strictly by number of wheels, how would you classify the 6-wheel
F-1 cars Elf campaigned in the 70's or the little Vespa-like scooters I
saw in Japan in the '80s that had two rear wheels on a common axle?

Who gives a shit about going 400 mph while straddling a frigging TRUCK
    engine?

Only a nutcase would try forking a motorcycle at those speeds.

Intelligent engineering types who try for land speed records at
    Bonneville salt flats
do it inside streamliners that have steel space frames to protects
themselves when the cigar-shaped 2-wheeler goes out of control.

My old GSXR will reach 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and will be going 100 mph
within 10 seconds. It will top out about 145 mph, and that's plenty
fast on a highway used by other vehicles and wild animals may run
across the road in front of me.

BTW, I keep my GSXR running in tip-top shape by mixing Berryman's B-12
Chemtool Choke and Carburetor Cleaner with the gasoline on a regular
    basis.

    A) This is about 3 or 4 years old by now
    B) It aint a motorcycle
    C) Theoretic, schmeoretic; they later acknowledged that their estimate was
based on power and weight alone and they did not bother to factor in
    friction, slippage or windresistance
D)Chrysler doesn't even make MC's so obviously it was nothing but a
publicity ploy to showcase their engine (and apparently it worked)
    E) Even if your warped mind regards this as a motorcycle this is off-topic
unless you have a Tomahawk in your garage and you want to find out whether
you should run dino or synth in it.

I tried cleaning my keyboard with it but it went a bit $trange!

Hey, you want to read the active ingredients list or let an organic
chemist have a good sniff some time? Never seen that brand in Australia.

Agree with you about varnish/crap in jets & circuits though, I just
normally resort to more invasive methods. Disagree about balancing
though, I've owned a few bikes where it really has drifted and just
adjusting the wee balance screw made a big difference to smoothness.

I swear you must own shares in Berryman's...

B-12 contains xylene, acetone, and methyl alchol.
If the previous owner took the machine to a $tealer$hip (or tweaked
with the carbs himself) while the carbs were dirty, the attempt
synchronization will fail as the alcohol additives present in fresh
gasoline clean the idle circuits out.

Claims that B-12 will reverse hair loss are unsubstantiated, and claims
    that it will cure
    erectile dysfunction are absurd.

However, B-12 consumption certainly results in anal leakage, as
evidenced by the behavior of my neighbor's Doberman after consumption.

Cheers. Not sure if xylene based stuff would be legal here, will check.
"owned" as in "owned long enough to have done the job several times
myself". Some bikes never seem to drift out of sync, others do.
