LOL.....loading a pistol ,eh? (chambering a round in the SLR L1A1)....you'd best make sure you get in close! That must be illegel up there, where your Olympic pistol shooters have to travel to FRANCE to practice.
<serious mode> I was under the impression, through reading, observation and personal experience, that fish were scared off by people approaching the riverbank. So it seems OK to me.... Try getting close to fish in a river whilst walking on the riverbank.... Now I wonder if they'll swim away once they see you approach. Or do fish not see out of the water in NZ? I bet the trout go hungry if they don't....... The national team here aren't doing so badly..... Dave
That makes sense to me. I never thought I'd have to get an interpreter to get me to understand English. I was under the impression my Doc Martins were somehow scaring the fish on their own...as in I took my boots off and left them on the riverbank so they didn't get wet....
My 15 YO daughter sometimes complains about her high school teachers. One thing I emphasise with my daughter is that we live in an imperfect world, and it is an opportunity for her to develop a positive mental attitude and pursue excellence when she encounters such. She will encounter the same when she enters the working world. Lessons learned back there will help her in the future. A poor teacher does not a poor learner make.
Grimly Curmudgeon wrote I heard some merkin crap last night that I reckon is worth a second listen, their national anthem done in Spanish. Sounds really different it does. Rather nice as it goes. I didn't hear it on the interweb so you'll have to find it for yourselves if you gaf enough to have a listen.
Well it's in trouble, so they have a chance of not making complete tools of themselves. Just a chance, mind. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
Didn't he also make an appearance in the original "Gone in 60 seconds". No... it was "Vanishing Point" I think. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
Yeah, it's been a bit odd with one of your guys going home depressed and one of your top bowlers throwing way off the mark. i was impressed with the Poms doing a raindance at the back of the stadium, that cracked me up!
