    Well quite.
If you spend long enough trawling through it all, he admits he lost
control due to excessive speed, having been driving like a **** up to
    that point.

It appears one of the contributing factors (besides the crash and
injuries incurred by the rider) to his jail term were his comments on
his driving style on various forums prior to the accident. The Police
dug them all up and presented them as evidence.

  3. The general tone of the thread which follows.

I am glad you responded. Further down the thread there is mention of
plod chasing the conviction by using internet evidence...

...."When the accident happened, 4 of the first few cars on the scene
happened to be high performance Hondas. A couple of the Civics had
windows stickers with the club URL on them. It didn't take a rocket
scientist to find out what my username was, and within a few hours of
the accident the Police had downloaded the forum and printed out all of
    my comments."

I was wondering if you do ukrm spangly stickers in bigger?

Well, if people will use the road as a race track.

Depends how much time you spend on reading the thread - at one point he
says he basically overcooked it in a bend and lost the rear. He was
going massively sideways trying to catch the car when the biker came
around the bend, going in the other direction. Actually he gives quite
a detailed account of how it happens after someone posted a link to the
accident coverage in the local paper.

  7. He has been, there is no denying this. To him I do give credit, to his
fans I am not feeling so generous.

Like the ones encouraging him to make profit from it?

At last, there's a benefit in being the slowest person on UKRM.

    Go me! (slowly)

  13. Ah, I see the point you are making now.

Oddly, I salute him too, if only for his honesty. And for making the
most riveting thread I've read in a long time.

OK, who hear has crashed a car through their own twattishness, no other
    vehicle involved? I know I have[1].

    [1] BMW 323i press car, embarrassingly enough.[2]
[2] Aftermath involved being banned from the East Surrey Hospital.

    I might have.

Do we have to limit ourselves to just the one car though?

Nope. Never. I've done some serious damage on a bike though - entirely
my fault, but "twattish" isn't necessarily a word I'd use to describe
    it.

    Who wear?
I slowly rolled into a gate when off-roading once. I claim
mitigating[1] circumstances though - my other half of the time had her
    tongue down my throat.

    [1] heh.

Eye have too and on more than one occasion.

I once tore all the front end of a Ford Corsair off by belting it with a
Hillman Hunter, (on black ice), hired a replacement and shoved that into a
neighbours kitchen when I got home. He wasn't best pleased and neither was
the firm I worked for when they found out the day after.
