The eldest of the Bentley clan participated in a Veteran's Day
ceremony at Wal-Mart with his JROTC class, then was served cake. Later
he helped serve lunch at the local VFW, where he hobnobbed with the
local dignitaries, and greeted veterans from the VA hospital,
including veterans from Pearl Harbor, the Battle of the Bulge, and
Vietnam. He then got to eat some BBQ. Also, he greeted members of the
Patriot Guard. I believe he was suitably impressed, even if I did
accuse him of just going so he could cut class and get food.
