Is there anybody out there who owns a Honda VFR 750 or VFR 800?

    Is it a Red one?

Do you live anywhere near Worksop or Milton Keynes?

If you do, and you need a decent tank bag, it /might/ be your lucky day

I'm guessing here, but it might be a tankbag... a decent one at that...

If he's got a red VFR, then he's in!
If its not a VFR, its not going to fit [1] and its not his lucky day..

Its a tank cover and tank bag made from heavyweight "artificial
    leather" stuff.
Good qulity. No rips, tears or what ever.
Can't remember who its made by (Bagstar or summat) - its in the shed.
A mate gave it to me on the off chance it would fit my Bandit.
It does - but only where it touches.

[1] But I have got a pair of Oxford throw-over panniers that are
surplus to requirments. Used them once for Rock & Blues last year. And
I've got a universal El Cheapo Tank Bag
He can have the bag and panniers for 20 quids.

e-mail me off list if he's interested in the bag or panniers

    Cheers

    Paging Platypus

Dave, can you put it aside please, I'll claim it on Platy's behalf as he
owns a red VFR with no Baglux cover or bag.

  7. Baglux - yeah that's it.

Sold! (or should that be Given!)
You're the first bloke to say he wants it.
    Its yours - or Platy's.

    Where do you want it?
I'm in Worksop today and tomorrow then in MK from Monday til next Friday.

    Loz,
e-mail me off list - the flyingvee.... addy in the header works.
I'll give you my mobile number, you can give me a ring to sort out getting
    the bag to wherever.

    Cheers

Baglux rock, mate. Until you fly over the bars and the bag tries to
rip your bollocks off - eh, Eddie?
    Good man.
One of us (the Pixie Collective) can pick it up from MK, we're only 15
minutes away. We might even buy you a pint. Bonzer!

    Sorry.
Free stuff never hangs about for very long does it?

I've got an El Cheapo Tank bag and a pair of Oxford throw over panniers
that your mate can have cheap, if he wants them?

I've just e-mailed Lozzo, but here it is again anyway: I'm in Worksop today
and tomorrow, then I'm in MK from Monday morning until mid-day next Friday
(yes. I'm a contractor<g>). I'll lob the bag in the car and leave it there
next week. I'm in The Navigation, just outside Castlethorpe (off the A508)
most evenings from about 7.00 (The pub passes as a dining room/living room).
You can pick it up from me there or at work (I work for Stone & Webster, at
the Railway Station). And Lozzo has my mobile number if you need it.

    BTW:
The bag has hardly been used. There are no cuts/tears/rips that I can see.
Its a bit dusty from living in a garage, but I'll clean that off.
All of the straps and things are intact and not frayed. I'm actually a bit
pissed off I can't nail it to my Bandit...
A mate used it a few times on his VFR, then he went onto Pan Europeans then
onto an R1150RT and he's /just/ picked up an new GS Adventure (flash
bastard - he thinks he's Ewan McGregor).

    Update :

Its not a Baglux - its a Bagster (made in france)
    Still want it?

  15. Yes they do.

Bagster (the manufacturer) make Baglux (the bags).

In the car and on its way it goes then.

If these are still going I'd be most pleased to take them off your
    hands.

Loz, would you be able to grab them for me when you get the stuff for
    Platy?

That means whoever acquires it will have to lower themselves to flying a
tiny french tricolour which will be sown on to the cover. Not an issue
for me naturally. I can confirm that the Bagster tank cover/tank system
is v. good. Filling up is painless compared to even a magnetic tank bag.

Ok. They're yours.I'll lob them in the back of the car as well.

I spent about 40 quid on panniers and about a tenner for the tank bag.
How does 20 quid for the lot sound?
(You are allowed to haggle - a bit <g>)

Panniers were used once for Rock & Blues last year and tank bag used for
same plus a couple of other occasions.
