I need summat to keep my visor clear. Up until now I've managed without
but this is really my first year of being a RTB.

Any recommendations, preferably stocked by Infinity as they are just up
    the road?

IME nothing will keep it really clean. I did have some success with
chamois leather wrapped around my pathans, though.

Problem is the crap dries before you wipe it off, and then you can't get
it clean again without much water.

I have one of these things:

It pretty much works as expected.

I tried to find a vee-wipe on Pahnd Island in September. TBF, it was
pissing down so hard most of the time, the visor was self cleaning with
    a shake of the head.

They only really work well when there's an amount of rain, of course. If
the main problem is spray from cars mixed in with road salt you'll just
end up scratching the visor to shit and a spray bottle is a better idea.

They are. See above. Just bought one.

    I'll see how it goes.

In three sizes too. Used for years. They don't scratch the hard coated
    Shoei CV-1V visors I have.

A good coating of rainex helps.

    One of these
    www.bustersclassic.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=FREEVIEW

Put velcro on it. Another bit of velcro inside the fairing or on top
yoke. Tied to bike on length of heavy elastic. Works a treat. I did
this on my 996 commuting Oxford-London winter time as the salt would
clag the visor to 99% opacity.

It has the Vee Wipe type thing on the back and I just used soapy water.

BMW do gloves with a piece of rubber on the index finger so you can
wipe the visor. Works really well. Not sure if they're available to
the general public though as I got mine from Spanish plod.

I can see how that could be useful. Filled with ethanol or methanol to
remove ice on those really cold days. I would probably lose it tho like I
lose Vee wipes with expensive regularity. I have just ordered a pair of
Held gloves from GLF with a Vee wipe type ridge built in.

Yeah - I bought a bottle of that storm stuff from Inifinity - I think
    it's similar to Rainex.

Heh. Perhaps I could do people's windscreens at traffic lights and make
    a few bob too.

Pukka Rain-X "polish on style" Rain Repellent is indeed top stuff,
started to use that when we were sidecar racing back in the early 90s,
and have used it on bikes and the cage ever since.
