One has just flown over my house , presumably to find out
where Farnborough is in readiness for next weeks airshow.
    Jolly noisy it was too.

    In message
Yeovilton to Farnborough with a test display at Farnborough apparently.

Display this year is a bit more vigorous apparently, but looks like I'll
    miss it.

Cue inevitable scramble for Vulcan money in Winter.

Dunno if you've seen this, but it's wonderful in its brevity:

  6. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, zymurgy
    Vulcans never had afterburners.

I suspect that was a Spock joke - at the expense of accuracy.

Not inside - I was quite surprised as a small boy to find how cramped
they were. Not that I cared 'cos I got to (pretend) fly it.

....and smelly. My memory of military aircraft is they stink of sweat,
    vomit and old television sets.

Annoyingly, packing up in readiness to move house seems to have been
deemed more important than going to the airshow next weekend.

I'm still hopeful to get along for some it.
