The 25 acre block next door to Funkytown (to the East, with the brown
shed) is for sale. They're asking $179k, which I think is possibly a
little optimistic considering what I paid for mine...

Can we light large fires on it?

I don't see why not - it has more dead timber on it than mine does.

(Which is to be expected after 6 Unaugurals).

I'd be interested if we had the money! But we don't. :-(

Does it have building permission? With the new LEP on the way (which
will restrict rural dwellings to blocks 100ha or bigger), it could make
things a bit difficult for anyone who wants to build on it if the
current owner hasn't already filed the necessary paperwork (since
existing permissions will be retained irrespective of block size).

Yes, it's the same as my block in that it's zoned with building
permission as a result of the original 1850s "selection" system. (Or
    so they tell me).
