Face to face road tests in MCN today. Aprilia RXV550 and Voxan street
    Scrambler. Want both!

I'd ask about spares prices & availability. I don't think Aprilia are
all that good in that regard.

Funny you should say that. Patrick at Point de Corde in Limoges reckons
he could get anything I need for the Tart to me in a few days courtesy
of UPS if I email him, and Loic from French Bikes Imports was at pains
to tell me that he will also be providing a parts service for us
Gardette era owners in the UK (all two of us)..

One does hear stories about Aprilia, but now they are owned by Piaggio
aren't things better? The guy at Phantom who also does Benelli was
telling me about 3X - a narrow escape for Voxan I reckon.

    says...
The Aprilia spares situation is shocking. The merger with Piaggio
promised a better back-up operation, but in reality the spares ordering
is all fucked up by the clash of two computer systems. Aprilia have a
different one to Piaggio and they can't get the two to work together.

Aprilia spares have always been a hit and miss affair, right back to
when they were based in Stranraer. It got better when they moved to
Manchester, but it's back to square one again.
