Can anyone help me with a copy (electronic or otherwise) of a workshop
    manual for a 2004-ish JR50?

If not, does anyone know about the 2-stage speed control (gearbox mod
or rev limiter?) that these things have, and how one goes about
    switching them into "fast mode".

I am finally getting rid of one of my Kid's chinese pieces of crap...
    only one more to go!

    Gearbox mod? Rev limiter? Snigger.

They usually have a washer in the exhaust pipe where it bolts up to the
engine which is usually removed but apart from that there's a throttle screw
    that can be backed out.

    CRF100 is more fun. ;)

I'm sure it is. I'll tell my 4 year old to grow another 2 feet, and
    he'll be half a chance.
