Arai pinlock? Graham always has them in stock at GLF, along with
genuine Arai visors for race use that aren't easily available[1]

I just sold a set of stainless Scorpion high-level end cans
for £120; they were mint but I really wanted another pair
of carbon cans and then ended up with some cheap Ti Remus
    cans instead.

*IF* you can find the other side, I have a L/H/S Ducati
Performance (Remus) carbon oval and a R/H/S Termi oval
can (brand new) that I'd be willing to sell. They'll both
fit, and I was going to fit them both at the same time,
    but they don't quite match!

Keep your eyes on ebay as they do come up every so often.

Took it out for a run on Saturday morning.

    160 miles before lunch.

Amazingly comfortable, hugely confidence inspiring handling. Love the
sound and what feels like huge slugs of torque pulling you out of bends.

Parked up in a couple of the usual biker haunts around here and was
amazed at the number of people wanting to have a look and a chat.

Kind of considering some louder cans for it, but only been able to find
really bloody expensive ones so far.

  6. I've been told that the power pulses from a Duke tend to knock out
cheaper carbon cans quite fast. Ant will know for certain.

Niall put Termis on his, and in the end took them off because they were
    just too bloody loud.

Mine never last that long :-(

The Termi and the Remus (both supplied through Ducati)
are pretty good build wise but expensive. You're looking
at ebay bargains now though, like my £225 Ti ones:

Best I've seen so far are Viper alloy cans at £280, incl. the fitting
    kit.

It's a lot cheaper than most options, but I'm not so desperate that I
can't wait to find a pair on eBay.

Viper make universal cans with bent fitting pipes.
Don't expect them to fit properly or improve ground
    clearance.

    Ahh, cheers for that.

    I'll avoid.

    Back to eBay it is.

BTW: which are the recommended Ducati forums? - any worth lurking around
looking for parts? - I've subscribed to Ducatisti, but there don't seem
to be too many adverts for old SuperSport kit on there.

The only one I use is the www.ducatisportingclub.com (DSC)
one as I've been a member for <thinks> 6 or 7 years now.
There is a DucatiUpNorth which was spawned from the DSC
a while back [1] and then there's the ItalianSportingClub
[1] [2] and, as you say, Ducatisti.
The DSC will have the odd bits and pieces come up but
you sometimes have more luck by asking for something
rather than waiting - there are plenty of people with
garages full of junk, myself included, that can't be
arsed to list it but will offer something if provoked.

    But mostly ebay really!

[1] They didn't like the way the DSC was run / the people
who ran the DSC and decided to create their own group
    instead.
[2] Same applies, but went for the "wider audience"
    approach instead.

Cheers, just had a look at DSC, nothing much on there.

    Might consider joining up.

    Cheers,

As I said, if there's something you want then *ask* as
there are lots of owners with parts that they could be
persuaded to let go of for the right price.

As for joining, it's £25 for the first year (then £20
each year after) and you can easily make that back through
    the dealer discounts.

It'd look much nicer without all the scratches and scuffs down the right
    hand side.

Here's the damage..... any ideas, Beav?

    http://www.italiancar.co.uk/Damage/Damage.html

Pulled into the petrol station at Thame (?), everyone else went for
fuel, I pulled up for a fag, then tried to back it up and push it over
    to join everyone else.

Side-stand didn't flip up, and the lack of steering lock caught me out
on a strangely cambered surface. Side-stand snagged on a drainage grill
and bike, in slow motion, laid itself down, despite attempts to stop it.

    I am mostly a clumsy ****.

A bit gutted about it - but I'm sure a smart repair should get it
    sorted.
