washing machines

    Do not go for a water saving machine if buying a new one.

    I got a Bosch Eco machine which according to the blurb "showers" the
    washing as opposed to the old "half fill and slosh about" way.

    Things bloody useless.

    Put a full load in it and the items in the middle only get damp, not
    washed at all.

    Put a full load and any washing powder tablet in and the tablet appears
    at the "end" of the wash as a half dissolved lump of sticky goo.

    Every single wash I have to manually stick about 5+ litres of water in
    when it starts.

    What I want to know is is this typical of modern machines?
