Water pump Question

    I have 84 GPZ900 with potential water pump issues. I have a spare pump
    (used) and it spin with some resistance. What I mean is that it doesn't
    continue spinning once I have taken my fingers away.

    Is this normal?

    I think as long as there isn't any grinding it is fine.

    WHat you are feeling is the friction of the seal against the shaft,
    perfectly normal.
