The Nonstops are quite a narrow fit. Since the leg incident last year, I
struggle to get the fuckers on. It seems my foot did not return to its
original width once the inflammation subsided.

    OK, look. Here's an idea.

I have a pair of Daytonas that are (as previously stated) pretty fucked.
    I take a 10.5 / 11 shoe.

I also owe Graham at GLF a favour or two.

If you want, I'll post the old pair to you. Try them, see what you
think. Then *post them back to me*[1].

If (and only if) you like them, buy a pair from GLF. Tell him you're
from UKRM and he'll do a decent price.

[1] I know people who have friends with Semtex. Apparently.

  5. See above. Long walk.

Having taken your previous suggestion to look at www.louis.de ihave
    learned two things.
    1) Daytona seem to name their boots to suit the likes of UKRM [1]

    2) The yoyo price is same as sterling, ie 269, so not much more
    cheapness [2]

[1] eg Oldtimer, Flash (HOI WUN, up your street that), Shortie, Big
Travel (ooo er missus), Traveller (PC term for pikies round here)

[2] Plus the try before you buy problem, can only cost more centimes

  7. Egad! Was going to make joke about arranging a CIHAGM of someones
boot, via postage of either boot or foot to suit.

A kind offer sir. Would not postage of said items not be expensive/
    inconvenient?

Out of deference, one would try them out in the buff

Ah sure, ya cant throw a hat over a wall here, without it landing on
somesuch. Or so i read somewhere. Allegedly.

  10. Thank you. Will see if a vendor of such things exists over here, in
    case.
Absolutly. Out of the question. Offfences Against the Person Act,

not quite. I propose that there is an alternative to the Daytona
Roadstar GTX that is also just as waterproof, just as comfortable and
also doesn't look like some gash racing boot or other.

I would like to draw the OP's attention to the Uber boot more commonly
known as the Daytona Trans Open GTX.

LAst year, traveling back from the Superbikes at Road America, it
rained. Not just a bit of dampness, but rain that could only be
described as a national disaster. Olson of these parts may remember.

I was absolutely fucking soaked from head to shin bone.

My toes were, however, very warm toasty and dry.

Didn't Bike recommend the Altberg Clubman as a good waterproof boot?

Don't know about bike but I like mine. Comfy, totally waterproof and
can be factory refurbished. I sent mine back after getting punted off
    in 2005 £60 iirc.

  14. Yep, Daytonas are marvellous and well worth the dosh. I've had mine
<thinks back> around 10 years, I think. You can also get them re-
furbished if need be, but mine haven't needed it yet.

  20. I have a pair for sale. Good as new and totally waterproof. Size 45 I
think. I think I used them twice. Don't go out in the rain now. Well, I
do, but my boggo Sidi boots are ok for showers.
