    http://www.independent.co.uk/opinio...right-to-protest-is-under-threat-2162493.html

"Every British citizen is the beneficiary of a long line of protesters
stretching back through the centuries. Every woman reading this can
vote and open her own bank account and choose her own husband and have
a career because protesters demanded it. Every worker gets at least
£5.93 an hour, and paid holidays, and paid sick leave, because
protesters demanded it. Every pensioner gets enough to survive because
protesters demand it. What what your life would be like if all those
protesters through all those years had been frightened into
inactivity? If you block the right to protest, you block the path to
progress. You are left instead at the whim of an elite, whose priority
is tax cuts for themselves, paid for with spending cuts for the poor."

"Our government is pursuing dozens of policies we, the people, know to be
    immoral"

One should really add ^^ "some of the people"

It's a majority coalition and without Scotland would always be in future
I don't get it. Vodafone and Green's companies pay *lots* of UK tax.
Maybe some people think companies shouldn't make profits. Well fine get over
into that box ===> with the commies and fascists. The ones without jobs or
    pensions.

"Thank **** for Vodafone and Green one might say"

I wonder if all the protesters will be throwing away their Vodafone
    SIM cards? Hypocrisy rocks.

I wonder how many of them are claiming income tax credits.

    *yawn*

I really think we shouldn't be cutting the education grants when I see
the amount of stupidity that exists.

Mind you I do think we should be cutting a lot of the pointless
    research grants.

I fail to see how that addresses the question of an individual choosing
to legally limit their tax payments. By choosing to apply for tax
    credits, for example.

In the case of Green, it's not an issue of profit, it's an issue of tax
    avoidance.

That said, he's evidently a man who likes a gamble, trusting his wife
that much, so big stakes have to mean a big reward.

  10. You are playing this all wrong! What you should do is post a link to a
random subject, hopefully far too long, rambling and incoherent for
anyone to read and then claim that proves your point.

Well that still wouldn't account for it unless they think anyone anywhere in
the world collecting a Dividend from a UK quoted company should be a UK
taxpayer, as if they were resident. I expect your average protester is too
ignorant to realise that companies pay dividends out of *taxed* profits.

As for Tina Green, Philip was smart enough to marry a woman that even the
odd Billion wouldn't tempt another for.

Perhaps the fact that the Greens are Jewish has a lot to do with the
    protests and the particular protesters.

That's all very well for you to say, but where does it leave me

Mebbe so, but it still leaves me staring at a 25% pay cut if I want
to stay here (or 100% if I decide to go home early...)

I'm quite disappointed the Coalition didn't make fees completely
unsubsidised for some things but completely subsidise science, education and
    engineering
