web-accessing a database

    I've already shown the users a stand-alone access application
    manipulating the data and have asked them what they want. They've come
    back with some suggested changes to the queries. I've also given a
    couple of teams a copy of the database to play with on the strict
    understanding that the data itself cannot be relied on and must not be
    distributed (yeah, right...)

    I *think* I've captured the requirements here.

    When people see the world from my viewpoint and can be bothered to pay
    attention to what I say then I might reciprocate. I am fed up with
    pointing out problems 12 months before they arise and no one taking a
    blind bit of notice until the problem has become an urgent crisis that
    demands the immediate release of people to fix.

    Planning - hah!

    That's more than a little harsh. I've tried to be very involving in the
    requirements capture.
