We've got a 5-burner on the balcony but I just woke up to see a Webber on
the Bridge. What a cool sight indeed. Wish I was there to hear the thing -
can imagine it echoed up the harbour a bit.

Gees you don't realise just how lumpy the Bridge is until you see a F1 car
flying across it. Also, next time I drive across it I'll try a few of those
flick turns he did - very niiice.

Poor bastard did his licence though in one stint and then they got him for
    illegal parking. :)

    Cheers,

why the hell they do it in Sydney? for it is the Melbourne GP after all,
just like the bikes, Sydney cant even get the poofter march to run a profit

Aww I dunno - with Clover Moore (http://evilurl.com/twatPUKEbuttknob) at the
helm, I'm sure she'll find some way to divert funds from Carols in the
Domain to subsidise the poofter parade. Why else was she such a tight arse
    at Christmas?!

But I agree with the rest - why do this in Sydney? There's a perfectly
good, hardly used runway about 5 minutes from my front door! (YWOL for the
    aviators - http://evilurl.com/damnSEXPAINQUEEF).

well it is the AUSTRALIAN and not Melbourne Grand prix and Sydney would
have a very large TV audience

  6. And if the footage is for foreign promotion, could you name one Melbourne
landmark that would be internationally recognisable?

  15. If Phillip Island is in Melbourne, I guess Mt Panorama must be in Sydney.

You mean the bridge-crossing for which the GP is the support act? If you
watch the Sydneycentric news services you's get the impression that he came
all this way just to **** up a Synday morning for Sydney drivers.

The people who live in the cities of Fosters and Marlboro are spoiled when it
    comes to grand prix racing.

Eastern Creek? Oh, yeah, that future housing development
in the inner-western suburbs. Yeah, they're racing cars
and bikes there for the time being.
