Aubry was Employment Secretary under Jospin, and almost singlehandedly
guided the 35-hour-week legislation through Parliament. Royal, on the
other hand, has the distinction of having lost the last election for the
Socialists. A very intelligent woman, but the mere fact that she's
still going after office, shows that she's thick enough not to have
understood the message of April 2007. She should never even have been
candidate, but the self-fulfilling prophesy on her website ('she's
popular, so she must be worth it ...') handed Sarkozy five years in
office.

Having said that, she lost by the proverbial **** hair, so she's asking
for a recount, AFAIK.
