The Hooters Poker Run and Bike Wash was on saturday.
The ride was excellant and for a good cause (any baby can)
the weather was perfect all through the day a little warm but the route was so
that there were very few lights to deal with.
The bike wash part was very lame. The hooters in round rock setup the event
but failed to tell the last stop northcross malls hooters that they were
washing bikes so they just threw some things together and did it. I was
worried about her scratching the bike at times but I lucked out. and so did
the girl washing my bike. Before we went to the Hooters run me and the wife
headed out to Liberty Hills Masonic lodge for breakfast and to meet up with
Jake Sabre from Central Texas Flyers
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TexasFlyers/) and some other friends we have
    ridden with in the past.
Jake led a group ride from Liberty Hill down 1431 to Round Rock to the
    Hooters.
Jake is a hell of a group leader so we all had a great time.

What does everyone think about bike washes? I am VERY leery of
letting anyone near my bike with a water hose, soap, and all that
mess. They aren't cars and should not be treated as such.

The Eurocycles dealer does it about once a year and I thought of going
just to hang out with other riders, but doubt I would let them wash
    the bike.

My bike is filthy much of the time- daily use and no garage will do that,
but when I want it clean- it's only gonna be me scrubbin'. The Hooter's
girls can watch, as long as they don't whisper and giggle too much- then
    they'll get the hose!

    ....on second thought...
