Pouring money down a drain does not constitute investing in drains.

  2. No, they've hidden them in side streets out the back of beyond. And
they're full by about 8am, but that doesn't stop the scooter bois from
    moving bikes outside the bay...
Easy - you'll go and find yourself a Corporation of London carpark and
find that bikes park there for free.

I think there should be a movement to draft Mr. P. Corfield to stand
for Mayor of London. He does appear to be one of the best informed
    people on this newsgroup.

I can't find the quote, and I can't remember who said it, but IIRC it
referred to NuLabor's "Stalinist intolerance of the need for consensus". It
was a few years ago, but I have yet to find any reason to reject this
    characterisation.

I wouldn't classify him as one of the run of the mill nu-labour cunts
that are really responsible for the way the country has turned out.

I'm not convinced that I'd be better off or that the country would be
a better place to live if we had a tory government running the country
but that doesn't change the fact that I'm not happy with what we've
    got.

I'd classify him as possibly the worst **** in any position of power in
the UK, normally a well challenged position, but Ken seems to be
    clinching it lately.
Neither am I, but at least the Tories didn't really try to hide the fact
that we were being shafted. I'm pretty sure that NuLabor's "successful
economy" is more down to the amount of hidden taxes etc they've managed
to impose on the public rather than anything else.

I pity you scousers, you had Degsy Hatton to contend with in the 80s,
you know all about two-faced trots.

Precisely, Ken does seem to have turned into Degsy V2.0 since they've
given him some power. Even after Hattons muppets went the council was
still paying years later for his spending. They're probably still paying
    for it now.

I thought it was only cars which came with LPG as a factory fitted
option that were exempt, whereas aftermarket conversions were not.

    Seems I was incorrect.
