I'm so excited to hear that Europe's gun control has resulted in less
gun violence being used against innocent bank employees. Now if you
could only ban the posession of C4 plastique....

'Violent crimes pose a serious threat to people's lives. According to a
report released by the Department of Justice of the United States on Nov.
29, 2004, in 2003 residents aged 12 and above in the United States
experienced about 24 million victimizations, and there occurred 1,381,259
murders, robberies and other violent crimes, averaging 475 cases per 100,000
people. Among them there were 16,503 homicides, up 1.7 percent over 2002, or
nearly six cases in every 100,000 residents, and one of every 44 Americans
    aged above 12 was victimized. ' [1]

    Quiet over here isnt it?

  3. Cripes that's a 0.475% chance of being victimized!

Methinks I will not be sleeping tonight...
Interesting that you'd get your "facts" from communist China. Here's
another tidbit from the same source:

"Immediate execution"? Damn and they have the audacity to criticize
the US for its human rights abuses!

I wonder what the violent crime rate is in the UK...

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1120016.stm

Ahh... It appears there were 716,000 violent crimes for a popualtion
    of 58 million.

Ergo a rate of 1,235 per 100,000! That's murderous mate!

So what did we learn today children? Well you're approximately THREE
times more likely to be victimized by a violent criminal in the UK
than the United States! Must be all those guns in the UK then....

Oh yes and 17% of the UK's population is poor whilst 12% of the US
shares that distinction. So much for socialist policy doing better for
    the people...

I do find your nation interesting however. I fear our own leaders are
trying to turn us into the perpetually rationalising sheeple you lot
have become as they tighten the noose around our neck.

Dear boy it was ever thus. You just **think** you're best at everything.[1]
