It's the old "online persona / real life persona " thing I guess.

Having met Darsy IRL, he didn't come across as particularly objectionable,
he seemed a bit shy actually.
WC, once you get to know him is actually a fairly normal, decent sort of
    chap [1].

[1] Albeit a ****, particularly for confusing Buckingham with Aylesbury then
    fucking well blaming me.

I've eaten there. It was ok. Not something I'd want every day
admittedly but sometimes would be ok. I have simple, easily satisfied,
    tastes.

I don't know when this turned into a personality contest but the
original point had nothing to do with the relative objectionable
qualities of darsy and WC or whether you think that just because you
fancy him anyone else would automatically follow, you might have low
standards in who you associate with. It's why he posts so much tat, as
Simian pointed out, the one true crime in a robust, written forum like
    this.

I see what you did there.

The advantage a NG has over a Forum is the availability of killfiles.

I don't have the admin priviledges at work to install the latest
version of Firefox and the killfile plugin. And anyway, I have a
messianic complex and seek to purify the world for the return of the
    king.

I guess if the choice was starve to death or eat there, I would. But the
little cafe where I'm currently working[1] is much better.

[1] the employee cafe at Western Digital. The bacon is positively ace,
it's crispy, thick cut and just the right smokey flavor.

You wouldn't want to work there, trust me. The place if full of nasty
    chemicals and gasses.

Bacon in the US... I really don't understand.

Why fry something until it's well burnt to a crisp?

It's all England's fault really. All those taxes and no representation.
Fair pissed us off it did. One thing led to another and now here we are
    eating crispy bacon.
Some people don't, but I like it like that.

    Buckingham: Small, neat and quiet market town;

    Aylesbury: Large, chavvy town.

Yes, an easy mistake to make.
