Well, out of three road bikes...

    only one is operational, an I don't intent to use that for anything
    other than local journeys until I sor the gearbox whine.

    Sodding Aprilia wouldn't start this morning: looks like the battery
    hasn't got enough oomph to start it, even though the Accumate reckons
    it's charging.

    ISTR having the same problem a couple of years ago, so I guess the
    Aprilia just doesn't like a battery to be in anything but tip-top
    condition. It's charging but as soon as I stopped the engine, the
    voltage started slowly sagging and was showing about 12.5V on my
    (admittedly elderly and cheap, moving coil) meter when I stopped
    looking at it.
