If you thought Cadwell Park was a scenic, up and down rider's circuit
then you have not been round the Charade track near Clermont Ferrand.

Fucking awesome it was. Hardly a straight on it even on a slow French
Tart, but a couple of v. fast swooping kinked sections. Otherwise bend
after bend this way and that and hardly ever level for more than a
    short distance.

Most enjoyable even though no-one got a go on the 'prototype' racer the
VCF has just acquired after raising the cash from donations and
    sponsors.

Another entertaining ride today from Issoire to Mont Dore via the Col
de Croix St Robert and back via St Nectaire. Some (literally) hill
climb sections (used for a car event) on perfect tarmac but rather too
much gravel about elsewhere for spirited riding.

A most pleasant lunch of hot goats cheese on toast and salad as near as
I could get to the summit of the Puy de Sancy by bike. Wonderfully cool
    and breezy up there.

AG bash tonight when the VCF will be introduced to various foods and
drinks of 'my region' which have accompanied me.

Almost the perfect description of a French tart I know in Calais.

I won't regale you with details of chatting to 'Mig' (Fabrice Miguet)
who raced a Voxan at the TT in 2004 and 2005 over a typically French
    comunal four course lunch then.

British one make (whatever the marque) owners club AGMs were never like
this. Even the official business was refreshingly lacking in the
barrack room lawyer type exchanges that can plague club AGMs here.
